Ray Scott had a lifetime’s experience in all aspects and facets transport industry throughout the majority of Australia and was regarded as a leading figure in the industry.

Ray Scott Transport operates predominately in the southern states of Australia with strong growth seeing it expand into central and northern Australia. Currently employing over 20 FTE’s ranging from managerial staff to drivers to in house mechanics and compliance personnel, the Transport business has become largely self-reliant.

Currently, the fleet comprises over twenty trucks and stock crates as well as ancillary trailers utilized for general transport. The business is centred on the transportation of beef cattle with the capacity to carry other livestock such as sheep. The obvious synergies between the pastoral business and the transport business have allowed for the sharing of the group held assets in both horizontal and vertical integration strategies.

The Transport depot has obvious operational benefits apart from its proximity to head office, such as dual access (two street frontages), existing infrastructure such as SA Water approved truck wash facilities, a well laid out yard and warehousing.
